Is water made from air actually safe to drink?

Yes, once it has been through the machine. Condensed water is distilled by nature but picks up whatever the air carried, which is why the S20 pre-filters intake air and then runs the water through PAC, ultrafiltration, and carbon block cartridges before UVC sterilization in the tank. The unit is manufactured to QB/T 5629-2021 and GB 5749-2022 drinking-water standards. On first use, or after the machine has sat unused, drain the first tank; everything after that is ready to drink.

How much water will I actually get per day?

The rated 10 liters per day is measured at 30°C and 80% relative humidity. Production is highest between 24–29°C with 70–80% humidity and falls off as the room gets cooler or drier. The unit runs from 5–32°C and 35–90% RH; below 35% humidity the display flashes and output slows sharply. Anyone who promises a fixed daily figure regardless of conditions is describing marketing, not physics.

What if my home is too dry?

Use external fill. Pour bottled or municipal water into the collection tank without exceeding its maximum, and the same filtration and UVC stages treat it. You get purified water on demand even in a dry winter room.

How does it taste?

Clean and neutral. There is no chlorine to carry through because the PAC stage adsorbs it, and the final carbon block stage exists specifically to correct taste and odor. Water dispenses cold, at 10–14°C.

How noisy is it, and does it heat the room?

It runs a piston compressor, so expect a sound level in the range of a quiet refrigerator, with the fan audible during production. Warm exhaust air leaves the back of the unit — keep flammable items at least 40 cm away from the rear and give it space to breathe.

What does it cost to run?

245 W at full load. Eight hours of production is roughly 2 kWh, about $0.30 at the US average residential rate. Beyond electricity, the only recurring cost is the cartridge set.

How often do the filters need changing?

The machine tracks it for you. Separate indicators for the air filter and water cartridges begin flashing when service is due. Replace the parts, then hold the matching reset button for two seconds to clear the indicator.

Can it act as a dehumidifier?

Accepted Answer

It does reduce humidity as a side effect of pulling moisture from the air, which is why LifeWell recommends running it in a well-ventilated space with good circulation. It is not sold or rated as a dehumidifier.

What are the E1 to E9 codes on the display?

They are diagnostic fault codes for sensor, defrost, and tank-level conditions. When the fault light flashes, note the code and contact your dealer. Do not open the machine or attempt a repair — the back cover should never be removed.
